These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the website of Mahajan Eye Centre, a unit of Mahajan Eye Care Pvt. Ltd. (“Mahajan Eye Centre”, “MEC”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and payments made to Mahajan Eye Centre through its website or authorised online payment facilities.
By using this website, booking an appointment, making an online payment, or availing services from Mahajan Eye Centre, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
1. Medical Services
Mahajan Eye Centre provides ophthalmic consultation, diagnostic investigations, surgical procedures and other eye-care services.
The availability, suitability and timing of any medical procedure are subject to clinical evaluation and the professional judgement of the treating ophthalmologist.
Payment for a proposed treatment or procedure does not by itself guarantee that the treatment or procedure will subsequently be performed. If, following medical evaluation, the treating ophthalmologist determines that a proposed procedure is not clinically appropriate or advisable, the procedure may be declined or postponed.
2. Appointments
Appointments may be booked through channels made available by Mahajan Eye Centre, including its website, telephone and authorised online payment facilities.
Patients are requested to arrive at the scheduled time and comply with instructions provided by the Centre.
Appointments may generally be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours or one working day before the scheduled consultation, subject to the applicable Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy and Refund & Payment Policy.
3. Online Payments
Mahajan Eye Centre may accept online payments for consultations, diagnostic investigations, procedures, surgeries, treatment advances and other services provided by the Centre.
Online payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways, banks, card networks, UPI providers or other payment service providers.
A payment is considered received by Mahajan Eye Centre only after successful confirmation and reconciliation of the transaction in the Centre's records.
4. Payment Gateway Transactions
Mahajan Eye Centre uses authorised third-party payment service providers to facilitate online payments.
MEC does not control the processing systems, settlement timelines, banking systems or technical availability of such third-party providers. Accordingly, delays or technical issues attributable to a bank, card issuer, payment gateway, UPI provider or other payment service provider may affect the timing of payment confirmation or refunds.
Where a payment is debited from a patient's account but is not reflected in Mahajan Eye Centre's records, the transaction may require verification with the relevant payment service provider.
5. Failed Transactions
If an amount is debited from a patient's bank account, card or other payment instrument but the transaction is not reflected as a successful payment in Mahajan Eye Centre's records, the patient should contact the relevant bank, card issuer, UPI provider or payment service provider for transaction status and resolution.
MEC will provide reasonable assistance with transaction verification where possible but cannot independently control the reversal or settlement of a transaction that has not been received by MEC.
6. Duplicate Payments
If the same transaction is inadvertently paid more than once and the duplicate payment is confirmed, Mahajan Eye Centre will process the appropriate refund of the duplicate amount in accordance with its Refund & Payment Policy.
Where a payment-processing charge has been incurred by MEC and is not recoverable from the payment service provider, the applicable non-recoverable amount may be deducted from the refund.
7. Treatment and Surgery Advances
An advance payment may be collected to facilitate scheduling or planning of a surgical or procedural treatment.
An advance payment does not constitute a guarantee that the procedure will be performed. Clinical suitability remains subject to assessment by the treating ophthalmologist.
Where a patient informs Mahajan Eye Centre in advance that they wish to cancel or reschedule a procedure, the applicable provisions of the Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy and Refund & Payment Policy will apply.
8. Medical Suitability
If, following appropriate clinical evaluation, the treating ophthalmologist determines that a patient is not suitable for a proposed procedure, the procedure may be cancelled or postponed.
Where applicable, the amount paid may be refunded after deduction of charges for consultations, investigations or other services already provided, together with any applicable non-recoverable payment-processing charges.
Where clinically appropriate, an alternative treatment or service may be offered.
9. Fees and Charges
Fees for consultations, investigations, procedures and other services may vary depending on the services clinically required.
Any estimate or quotation provided before treatment is subject to the clinical requirements identified during examination and treatment.
Additional services, investigations, consumables or other applicable charges may be billed separately.
10. EMI and Financing
Where EMI or financing facilities are offered through an external financing or banking partner, approval, eligibility, interest rates, processing fees, repayment schedules and other financing terms are governed by the respective financing partner.
Mahajan Eye Centre does not determine or guarantee approval of financing or EMI facilities.
Any refund involving an EMI or financing transaction may require coordination with the relevant financing partner and may be subject to its applicable procedures.
11. Third-Party Products and Services
Certain products or services associated with the Centre may be supplied, billed or fulfilled by independent third-party providers.
Where a transaction is directly with a third-party provider, the terms, refund policy and other conditions of that provider will apply.
12. Website Information
Mahajan Eye Centre makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on its website is accurate and current.
Medical information published on the website is intended for general informational purposes and should not be treated as a substitute for an individual medical consultation.
13. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds, cancellations and rescheduling are governed by the separate Refund & Payment Policy and Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy published on this website.
Patients are advised to review these policies before making a payment.
14. Changes to These Terms
Mahajan Eye Centre may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The updated version will be published on this website with the applicable effective date.
